The Red Lion, now branded Leo's The Red Lion, on Crete Hall Road in Northfleet is a large early-20th-century riverside hostelry with extensive views across the Thames, now set within a former heavy-industry area. Two ever-changing real ales, mainly from larger breweries, are served.
It has an attached nightclub and is well known as a live-music venue, hosting bands until 2am on Fridays and Saturdays, with photographs above the bar of acts that have played there going back to the 1960s. It is regularly listed among UK live-music and gig venues.
