The Canal Tavern is an early-19th-century pub on the east side of Gravesend on Canal Road, near the South Bank of the Thames with riverside views. Recently renovated with a more contemporary, upmarket look, it now operates as V's Punjabi Grill at The Canal Tavern, combining a cocktail bar with big screens and authentic Punjabi cuisine and grills alongside craft beers, wines and bottled lagers.
CAMRA records note it as a real-ale pub with much potential, though cask ale is only occasionally available. It maintains an active Facebook and Instagram presence and is listed across pub directories.
