The Grapes on Milton Road in Gravesend is a warm and welcoming wine bar and cafe with a modern, bright interior, located close to the town centre near the south bank of the Thames; the site has operated as a pub since at least 1843. Reopened under new management in summer 2023, it serves freshly prepared home-made food (full English breakfasts, baguettes, jacket potatoes and sharing platters) along with a wide range of wines and Champagnes, beers and cocktails.
There is a heated patio with shaded tables, plus live music, sports TV and WiFi. It has been reviewed favourably as one of the better bars in Gravesend, with one local press review covering its cocktail offering.
