The Cricketers

47 Arthur Street

The Cricketers was a small L-shaped pub on Arthur Street, on the edge of Gravesend town centre and close to the historic Bat & Ball cricket ground. It featured two dartboards and a plasma screen.

The pub had a long history, trading as the Cricketers from 1843, then as Murphy's Bar (1997-2007) and the Black Rose (2007-15) before reverting to its original name. According to CAMRA records it has been long-term closed since early 2022, with its future uncertain, so it is unlikely to be currently operating.
