The George Inn is a town-centre pub on Queen Street in Gravesend, around 350m from Gravesend railway station, though it functions very much as a locals' boozer. It is built around a central island bar and offers traditional pub games including two darts teams and pool, plus a jukebox, monthly live music of varying genres, occasional quizzes and golf days, and is dog friendly; Sharp's Doom Bar is the regular cask ale.
A Kent Online Secret Drinker review was notably negative, describing an unwelcoming 'regulars only' atmosphere dominated by an insular clientele, with limited drink choice despite the Doom Bar being decent. It maintains a Facebook page and listings on Yelp, CAMRA and WhatPub.
